I lived in the People Republic of Maryland for 8 years and was so glad to get back to Georgia. My state taxes dropped significantly. I could never get over having COUNTY INCOME TAX. Also, I could never see how high taxes ever made Maryland a better state than lower tax states like VA, Texas or Georgia (I have lived in all these). The roads are no better. The Universities are not as good, and police are no more effective.
That's where I'm headed as soon as I can wind up a few committments. It's a shame too because this is a beautiful state but RAT politics and rampant liberalism have finally taken their toll.
