Paul Greengrass, who directed "United 93," earlier directed "Bloody Sunday," about the 1972 massacre of Irish by British troops. It was absolutely riveting and seemed to be historically accurate. It was not juiced up with phony melodrama. I expect "93" to be the real deal.

To further your comment, this is a statement he makes about the film on the movie's website:
"The terrible dilemma those passengers faced is the same we have been struggling with ever since. Do we sit passively and hope this all turns out okay? Or do we fight back and strike at them before they strike at us? And what will be the consequences if we do?"
To praise the passangers for doing the latter in a feature length film, I think, is a solid indication of the director's intent and one that we might be quite pleased with.
