However, no credit is being offered for attending rallies that are opposed to open borders or illegal immigration. In a NUTshell.

"Frankly, if the Klu Klux Klan was having a rally downtown, would the school system allow that? That's a political event. I would hope not," one parent told WTOP radio.

Nothing new here. This has been the liberal/socialist/marxist mantra for decades.
Enemies domestic are abetting this invasion and the dire cosequences it will bring...and they are doing it knowingly in an attempt to increase what they perceive is their own political power base.

This was mentioned on the radio last week before the rally. If parents are shocked AFTER the rally, they weren't paying attention.

The right is just as much to blame as the left , perhaps even moreso considering Bush wants to give amnesty to the bloody lot .

Montgomery County is filled with government workers. Leftist hell hole. Some of the municipalities there have declared themselves to be nuclear-free zones. When I lived there, it certainly wasn't a crime-free zone.

I wonder if they would be granted the same consideration if they marched with ProtestWarrior.

Reminds me of the mandatory pro bono (oxymoron) requirement imposed at most law schools these days as a condition of graduating. Working for an abortion clinic or gay rights group will qualify for credit. Working for the NRA will not.

Outrageous. We need to push back hard against this movement and push back hard against the politicians that are selling out our country.
To: FerdieMurphy
Those rallies would be if they were sponsored by a recognized group. Students can attend Republican rallies, pro-life demonstrations etc.
The conservative movement would benefit much from better organization and sponsorship of smaller groups by larger ones.
The Left does well at this game because they will band together for larger goals. Conservatives spend much too much time and energy nit-picking.
