Republicans support the amnesty because they want the same votes Democrats are seeking.
First of all Illegals should not be rewarded for breaking our laws. Second, I don't see how enfranchising a block that overwhelmingly supports the Democrat is a safe bet for the Republicans. Unless socialism is their ultimate goal. If the Republicans desire Hispanic votes, what guarantee do they have that illegals will vote Republican? Sounds like a dangerous gamble to me. It might just add 8 million more Democrats and, then you can really kiss Congress and the White House goodbye in 2008.
That does it -- I'm moving to Mexico, try to become a citizen there, then illegally sneak back into this country so I can break the law with inpunity and get rewarded for it.
No wonder the Dims were at these marches the past few days -- courting and signing up their future voters.
