One of the key organizers of the immigration protests and rallies nationwide, including yesterday's in Washington, is a group whose leaders are tied to the Workers World Party, a Marxist organization that has expressed support for dictators Kim Jong-il of North Korea and Saddam Hussein of Iraq.

Whenever the unhinged Marxists in the country see that they're not going to get their way, they pout and yell that they're not going to work on a particular day. "Bwaaaaaaaa! We're not going to work on this day! That'll show you! You need us! You'll be sorry when we don't go to work!"
You know what? We DON'T need these crybabies. Here's an idea: look for places on May 1 where someone who works there took off because of the boycott, and NEVER PATRONIZE THEM AGAIN. I wonder what will happen when employers see themselves losing business because they employ Marxist crybabies? Might they get rid of these crybabies? I'd sure like to find out.
Go ahead and skip work, you Marxist maggots. We DON'T need you.

...Are they also going to pledge to refuse free medical care, free food, free housing, etc. that day???

The "day without (illegal) 'immigrants'" did have an effect. There was a lot less litter thrown around and the city parks were finally accessible by people speaking English again. The neighborhood was more peaceful, absent for a change of the whine of motorized lawn equipment. There were fewer uninsured drivers on the road and fewer hit and run accidents. Hospital emergency rooms were empty of pregnant spanish speaking women. Government program offices were so empty the bureaucrats got even more bored. For a change, English was spoken in our schools.....I kind of liked it.
