The key will be having no republicans challenge bilbray in the primary which will be the same day as the special election.

Another key will having the voters for the two conservative candidates not stay home.

I think the two points are contradictory. You want exactly one conservative on the ballot, to help turn out conservatives, so that Bilbray wins the special over Busby.

The primary can go either way, it doesn't matter, no Dem is going to win here in November.

Brian is one of the few I have wanted to win as he would have a better chance against a Dem.
I knew him when he was a County Supervisor before he was elected to congress the first time.
I was working with the County Attys.

yup. Now to get the repos out in June.
Brian is not a total conservtive but I don't want a Dem. majority in congress.
Busby is funded by the major libs.

I think some people here are judging him too harshly, based upon his last few years in office.

Some conservatives made the same mistake with Alphonse D'amato, who-regardless of his many flaws-was in no way, shape, or form a Rockefeller Republican.

Of course they are and how many live in the district?

Brian Bilbray would have gotten my vote. I know he got my son's vote who lives in the district.

When Brian was last in Congress, he was my Congressman.

I would love to see how the open borders aplogists and elitist, Mechista-loving trash on the ed. board of the L.A. Slimes is going to spin this win for Bilbray as a vote for amnesty and dissolving our So. border with Mexico.

Brian likes taxes, whacko environmentalism, homosexual rights, abortion... he's not just "not a total conservative" but barely distinguishes himself from your typical Democrat. I'd almost rather have that crook "Duke" back in the seat.

Bilbray first appeared on my radar about 15 years ago. I've never liked the guy.

I will withhold my vote in June for filling out the current term for the 50th.

So is he your brother? Your dad? Uncle? Son? Cousin? You sure seem to adore Brian Bilbray.

No reason to put down those who don't agree with your choice of a candidate. It is really poor manners. Just make your case that you think Bilbray is a useful idiot for the Left or whatever, and leave it at that.

I'll vote in the June primary but I won't vote for Busby or Bilbray to finish out Duke's term. Neither is worth a bucket of night crawlers.

Thus proving your point to Elk Grove Dan the other night.
