I saw a poll that claimed 59% liked their own representative which will be the only poll that matters in '06. The MSM keeps claiming that there are 32 seats in the House too close to call (22 currently held by Republicans) and 12 in the Senate (8 held by Republicans). If the numbers are what the MSM claim then the most seats the Rats can pick up in the House is 9 seats and 3 in the Senate.
The party affiliation that the MSM keep sampling are from mid 90's when the Rats had a 10-12% lean over Republicans but today the lean is more like 1-2% with an Independent lean of maybe tops 5% and not the 12-25% they claim.
The MSM can simplify these polls by ignoring the party affiliations and strictly go with actual voters from the '04 election and see if their overall opinions have changed from positive to negative feelings or vice-versa. These numbers are nothing but the MSM keeping the negativity in American's minds. As long as the MSM keeps with the negativity then no matter how good Iraq, Economy or anything else goes it's all negative for the people.

We don't need a poll, good or bad, to tell us what's in front of our noses: The GOP is in trouble, and will lose the House if it doesn't shape up.
