Please show me where I even suggested disapproval of his country of origin. I asked if he's an American citizen. Is he?

Actually, you didn't. What you said was "You say your husband is “Mexican?” I was hoping he’d be an American. Are you?"

You're right about one thing though: My tagline does say it all, and it is 100% accurate. A person's nation of origin does not determine his race, and the words citizen and resident are not interchangeable. You can be a legal resident of this country without becoming a citizen. If you are going to use words to make a point, you should at least be sure you know what those words really mean.

Illegal, illegal, illegal, illegal!!! That's the key word. But you're hopeless anyhow because your tagline says it all.I'm tired of all the demagoguing of this issue. The lines are drawn.

The plain truth is that you cannot tell who is legal or illegal simply by looking. If you could, we would not have the problems we have now. Don't you think that my husband and people like him have suffered mightily at the hands of people like you, simply by virtue of looking like he might be illegal? He has been harrassed, denied work, and literally spit on. When you come up with a surefire way of differentiating legal and illegal at a glance, then you can talk to me. Until then, Adios, amigo. This conversation is over.

Actually, about 50%...

I have been repeatedly told by some of my Hispanic friends and associates who speak the Western European language of Spanish and practice the European religion of Catholicism, that they are indeed either partly caucasian or mostly caucasian... (Cauc-asian.)

That ice bridge across the sea is where their “indigenous” ancestors crossed over into Alaska. Their European ancestors came with Cortez...

Just something to think about... if you decide to replace “caucasian” in your tagline with Anglo or Anglican to make it more accurate...
