This issue has come to a head late for President Bush, I think that he thought he was going to be able to pass it off to the next President, personally since his feelings are on the pro-illegal side and with how Presidents look at their legacy I really doubt that he wants to be known as the President that erected the wall between the US and Mexico. Thats just my opinion, yes it's needed but he may seem harm coming from it to "his" legacy if he does. <~~~ all of the previous stuff is pure speculation just a thought, thats why I think GWB would sign the bill but don't think he's going to go out of his way to campaign for it. Congress is who we need to pressure, I want the 1,700 mile wall not just 700 mile...

"I think that he thought he was going to be able to pass it off to the next President"
Clinton was notorious for "kicking the can down the road", it's disheartening to see Dubya doing the same thing.

no argument here. :(
