I'm not against enforcing the law and don't see how that would hurt anyone's chances. I'm also not opposed to any kind of meaningful reform they can get through the Senate. Just git'er done. But don't destroy the movement if you can't.

If the republicans come down hard on immigration by advocating a crackdown on employers who hire illegals, denial of social welfare to illegals, etc. then they risk losing the majority of the current and future Hispanic vote.
IOW, if republican actions on immigration result in future republican losses at the polls, is that acceptable to you ?
