I think this is great. Its about time that the Nixon Library becomes part of the National Archives and becomes an official Presidential Library. It would be intresting to visit and see everything they have there.

I visited. It's fantastic! My favorite item was the honkin' big gun that Elvis gave him. I kid you not!

The Nixon library, built with private money in 1990 some 30 miles southeast of Los Angeles, has been the only presidential library not part of the National Archives system.

This isn't quite the case. The Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center in Fremont, Ohio, is not a National Archives library.
