millions and millions of atheists in this country who pretend to believe in God And I wonder how many of them are ministers and priests in our churches?

I would love to see a survey of protestant ministers and catholic priests asking whether they believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God Incarnate or rather, an inspired human being who was a great teacher.

Preached a sermon about how evil the Iraqi war is, yadda-yadda.

There could be consequences with your 501c3 status for doiing stuff like this. I'd look into it if I were you. Politics doesn't belong in the pulpit. That's not the churches' mission.

Since I have never been a member of one of the mainstream Protestant Churches I guess I just do not understand why so many people have such a hard time just changing church affiliation. But like I said I have never been a member of that type or any Demomination. I guess I am too independent. Check out a small more rural church. They seem to be less ideologically driven. But of coarse if you live in a big city that may not be an option. I just have never felt the loyality to any certain denomination. I prefer small churches or non denominational ones. Simple, straightforward and Bible centered teaching.
