Normal law abiding citizens would love to come out in opposition of the illegals, but they know the radicals may kill them for speaking out. This is a rally organized by the rabid left, and it's designed to force the American people to obey and accept the 12,000,000 illegal socialist voters whether they like it or not. They're using absolute force, and if people try to get in their way, normal Americans could be seriously hurt.
People are watching America being taken over by Mexican invaders, it frightens them, and I believe the result is going to be a backlash and a major move to the right wing for national protection alone. That's if the Republicans do what's right and get the Mexicans out of the country once and for all while they still can. If the Republicans cave, the nation will belong to Mexico.

I see no evidence that law abiding americans are scared of counter protesting. In fact there are threads on here every day about counter protests. Furthermore I see no evidence that counter protestors would be killed by some group

We can't counterprotest without being labeled as Racists -- probably by the President himself. Anyone who's seen what's happened to Minutemen in California shouldn't be surprised at this.
