Not only who is funding etc, but someone must be sending out emails and talking points. Like carry US flags, not Mexican.. Every major city has a large Latin-American Association that is very left wing. I've been to a few meetings here in Atlanta few years ago and they had a very Amnesty International-type vibe. I have no doubt that they are behind much of the organization of the rallies.
The flag thing was a no-brianer. They watch TV and saw how badly it made them look. The white t-shirt idea was a no-brainer as well.

All union members pay dues.
That's the bottom.
Union memberships also get political attention as voting blocks.
Give the illegals union membership and the right to vote and the diminishing union membership increases in strength again.
And so does the income of the unions.
