Did I fall off the world into an alternate universe?
This is indeed the fault of the US of A. We allowed political correctness to rule over our national sovereignty, and this is what we get. We gave an inch, and quickly gave the whole mile too.
We hired these people for wages and conditions that were unfair, but still better than in Mexico. We kept on increasing their number. They now know that if they rise up, they can fight for fairer conditions and better wages. They claim "We have been doing work here for you for years and we aren't going to take it any more!" We should have seen this coming. Sure, it's our fault.
NO OTHER ADVANCED COUNTRY lets illegals in to this extent. What did we THINK was going to happen? A cheap toilet cleaning now, a hell of a lot to pay for later. Who can blame these people for using our freedom to rise up? They have been like voluntary slaves. We should have known.
To hear our President, Teddy, and Hillary (in full shriek again), you'd think they were all of the same party. What the heck do they want, anyone who crawls across the fence to be given instant citizenship?
We had better grow a pair and stop this now, or we are as dead as France.
"Imagine this happening 50, 75 or 100 years ago?
30 years ago I lived in Southern CA, and you would see vans full of illegals being brought back to the border on a daily basis. At least they used to TRY.
These marches are Pres. Bush's idea of "hiding in the shadows ???? This is probably the only area I disagree with the president about, but I heartily disagree!
Watching the Dallas rally on the news yesterday I thought some entrepreneurial type should have had a hugh banner made up to hang from a skyskraper with a map showing the route from Dallas back to Mexico.
The president said this morning that he supports demonstrations as a right.
"We are commie puppets though."
I am telling you, I will find a way to dance on that man's grave.
You think that's something? I live in a predominantly Asian neighborhood. All of the street signs are in Chinese and English!
The signs that said "We Want" were very disturbing. Pushy, aren't they?
Good points. It seems clear that the answer is to get the illegals out as soon as possible. Pandering to them only makes it worse.
You would think that Bush would have learned by now that you can't buy people's love. He tried with Africa and they still hate him - he tried with New Orleans and they still hate him - he tried with the seniors and they are indifferent toward him.
I thought the House was safe for republicans but now I have worries about 2006.
Oh my.
I've seen Japanese/English signs in Honolulu.
Sometimes I wonder which country he is president of.
I'm not accepting any blame for this. I am not the leader of the free world. I marched plenty to get people elected! They will either follow their oaths of office or sell us out. I'm afraid it will be the latter.
ABC Radio News 5 PM EDT (I'm paraphrasing):
Lead story #1: A rundown of the protests and protestors and a quote from their fave Sen. Kennedy. All sweetness and light about immigration 'reform.'
Lead story #2: A 'skeptical' crowd of students listened to a speech by GWB. Report was from Anne Compton, who couldn't resist GWB a 'lame duck' during his second inauguration!!!
I've got studying to do so I don't even dare turn it on. My blood pressure will go right through the roof.
"Shut up! Get out!"
Translates as:
Callense! Vayanse!
It's NOT a rally it is an ILLEGAL INVasion of a liberal army of socialists taking over our streets and our cities and soon our elected officials and our country!
-------
These displays of anarchy are being engineered by the socialist libs (ThugoRats) who know they will get their votes. The Repubs are fools to pander to these illegal Mexican mobs because they will not get their votes regardless. Total fools. That is why if the Repubs were smart, they would take the hard line, close the border and clamp down on all illegals hard that are here. They will gain back the respect they have lost, with a large percentage of the American public that is sick and tired of not only tolerating this massive invastion of foreign criminals, but sick of the government and the weak and pathetic handling of the entire issue.
There, somebody finally said it. They leave their own country because it's so "bad", come to America and bring everything with them that made their country bad.
I think the only recourse that we have as Americans is to punish those who employ them. We can do this in our own communities. We don't have to descriminate between legal or illegal immigrants. We may have to start by boycotting any business that is owned by hispanics, and those who hire hispanics. May not be fair, but at least we can have some effect on the problem.
Oh really? Cherry-picking the Constitution again?
Look at those two counting all those dim votes.
