Having done precinct walks and door hangers for Republican candidates in the past, I can only share my observations:

Because I'm so delicate and refined looking (and a off duty cop) I was always given the poorest and toughest neighborhoods.
Frequently these neighborhoods where occupied by persons of Hispanic descent. When I asked them how they could support anyone who wanted abortion on demand, the response was they were poor people and could do what they wanted and Democrats 'cared for and supported' them. They universally agreed abortion was wrong, but believed when one is poor, certain of God's Laws don't apply to them.

Thanks for the comments. It would seem the issue is to show how thsi, "Democrats 'cared for and supported' them", is not true.
