I guess JR saw it differently and he is calling the shots. Lawyers cannot always have their way.

Lawyers cannot always have their way.

Just what does this have to do with anything?

I'll answer my own question for the lurkers.

This is a prime example of what I'm talking about regarding the argument style of the Open Border's Lobby. Observe that I posted no personal insults to Verity, merely requested he get his facts straight based on Travis' posts. He responds by stating that I'm still looking for trouble - a negative post with no substantive arguments which refute my assertions to him.

He then responds with the statement quoted above.

Verity,

First of all, you know I am a lawyer - but you and 99% of this board have no clue what kind of law I specialize in. Given the threats against me on certain threads, only trusted individuals whom I have met know what I do for a living.

Second, Travis isn't a lawyer, neither is Jeff or Joanie to my knowledge.

Therefore, you can only be making a veiled insult directed towards me.

Yet it is plain to anyone that has interacted with me that I have an extreme disdain for most lawyers.

Further, your comment has not one ounce of relevance to anything I posted.

So, just what are you trying to do with your comment? Are you attempting to influence the relevance or weight of my opinion in a negative manner by portraying me as a lawyer?

Could it be that you are attempting to marginalize me?

Of course that is what sleazy lawyers do, isn't it Verity?
