There is no doubt that the future could become very bleak indeed. If we do not, as a people, stand now for our rights, our constitition, our liberty, our moral foundaton, our heritage and our way of life...and by that I mean impressing on our representatives the absolute need, the overriding imperative to address these issues as Americans, loyal to their oath to the constitution or to be turned out in favor of those who will...then we will certainly see horrific times come upon us with the very real prospect of civil war and upheaval.
Nonetheless, I believe in that event, as horrific as it may become (and I believe it will make the Balkans, Lebannon, and even our own earlier civil war pale in comparison), yet I have faith in that same God in Heaven that He will not forsake us entrely.
I believe the Constitution and our union will come through it...and that we will rise up on the other side yet a constitutional republic, and renewed in our strengths and commitments. That is my faith...as unlikely as it may seem to some, it is no more unlikely than that those colonmial militiamen and ragtag continental army would have a chance in hades of defeating the most powerful armed force on the earth of their time. Outside of that portion of your statement, we are in agrement and we must be driven to stand now...and then trust in the hand of Providance and our own commitment and honor to see us through.
Travis MCGee banned???? I don't think many people know this. How can JR ban a true American? It should have it's own thread.
