Thank you for posting. I think your are right on the money when you say that it won't help to stop people from giving warning of which way the wind is blowing. Actions have consequences and they are always inevitable. Only action that counteracts the existing conditions will change the direction of things to come.

At this time it would seem that neither the White House nor the Congress has any intention whatsoever of counteracting the precipitous conditions that exist in this country. In fact it looks very much like their actions will greatly exacerbate the fractionalization of America along many fault lines.

I warned of civil war during the post 2000 election fiasco. So did literally dozens of FReepers. Had Algore taken the Presidency with his band of lawyers it would have been a near certainty. Things went the other way and many don't believe that now. Many don't think that overturning the electoral process, a coup, would've been reason enough and so they don't think anyone else would've either. They apparently don't have a very wide circle of acquaintances.

They fail to recognize human nature and the fact that there are a lot of people in this country of all manner of intellect and sentiment. Being a reasonable person yourself or knowing only reasonable people (if that's how you make the distinction) does nothing to change that fact.

The situation today with our Mexican border and illegal aliens has heated up to the point where it will flash soon. It is probably going to flash no matter what is done at this point but a proper respect for the situation from our government, in the form of sensible legislation and law enforcement, would go a long way towards limiting its outcome. The chances of that happening appear to be next to nil, I am sad to say. Wishing that wasn't the case won't change it.

No one who has read Travis McGee's posts over the years can look into their heart and honestly say that his motives are anything but for peace and tranquility in this country. Passionate hyperbole is what it is. Hyperbolic. In this case it had a purpose, it's a warning signal.

That was my reason for it in 2000 and, in his own words, that is his purpose now. It may be vain but the hope is that someone with good sense, love of country and some influence will pay attention and head this off before it gets worse and we have a nation at war with itself instead of just a few southwestern cities in riot.

The board is set and the pieces are in motion. Our government has already failed so spectacularly to address this that conflict is a near certainty. (In fact it has already been taking place.) And I'll make this prediction as well; it won't be citizens that start it.

I really hope I'm wrong about it. But too many people with a great sense of human nature and history, like Travis, without covering their eyes with fuzzy hopes and wishes, can see what's at play and can see the probable outcome.

There are probably a half billion people in the world who are worse off than the peasant class of Latin America and would love to come here. (And we've only taken in a small percentage of the LAs) And every flavor of leftist you can name is now calling for us to throw open the door to them. (Pardon me, the door is open, wide open. They want to put up a welcome sign.) Each has their own reasons for that. The Dems, our home-grown leftists, are just looking to consolidate political power. Amnesty will cinch that.

If this country falls into Civil War II, EVERYBODY loses because the ultimate casualty in Civil War II would be freedom because no matter which side would win, the Constitution would probably be set aside and America would re-emerge as an iron-fist totalitarian police state.

Or chances are that there is probably a UN by-law which allows them to take over any country which disintegrates into Civil War. If that's the case, Civil War II would probably be the official birth of the NWO one-world government.
