Up to 500,000 marchers converge on downtown (DALLAS, TX)

Peaceful protest pleases chief

At a police security briefing that ended about 3:15 p.m., Dallas police Chief David Kunkle reported that no one had been arrested and no noteworthy offenses had been committed amid the crowd that was widely estimated at 100,000.

Speculation put the crowd at up to 500,000, although police had no comment on that number.

“It’s been a very good day for the city,” Chief Kunkle said. “This is a family-oriented group that’s come here to demonstrate. No one we saw looked like they were planning to cause any problems.”

Chief Kunkle attributed the peaceful nature of the protest to the work of the volunteers and organizers, as well as police efforts to marginalize the small groups of counterprotesters.

“Even I’m surprised about the nature of the crowd. I think the people have been educated to ignore the other protesters,” he said.

Chief Kunkle reiterated his estimate that 550 police and 200 sheriff’s officers were on duty. Although no additional backups were called Sunday, supervisors were asking early shift officers to stay a few hours later, and calling the evening shift workers to arrive early.

Police work around the city would not be affected, he said.

Some counterprotesters retreat

Police told counterprotesters that they could protect them only to a point, and offered to escort them out through an underground parking lot. Six people left with police who were carrying shields and wearing helmets and shin pads.

Miles Walters, 16, a sophomore at Richardson High School, said he was scared when people started throwing water bottles and hunkered under a building for protection. “I wasn’t expecting it to be this bad,” he said. “Because we take pride in our country they hate us and call us racist.”

There were U.S. flags everywhere and they played patriotic music.

I am not impressed. They are trespassers, and there is only one place they are going, like it or not. South across the Rio Grande.

Sadly I agree. We're getting our own Hamas/Palestinians. These people have zero intention of becoming Americans.

"NO INCIDENTS is astounding"

No incidents, I wonder why. Surely not because anyone who gets arrested gets tossed back across the border ?

Hispanics are leading us down the road we've seen before. In Canada. Quebec.

Screw Canada. Focus is important in debating ideas. I saw what Chavez did in California. It got a little ugly in America at that time. I saw the Chicano Power rallies, and the skirmishes between white, black, and brown people. This rally today was mostly organized by Americans, through churches. That is what has the media, and anti-immigrants scared spitless.

Doesn't sound like a very peaceful protest to me.

"But I see worse stuff on the ANSWER and CODE PINK posters at the anti-war marches in Washington, and these peacenik leftists are CITIZENS trashing our country and its way of life."

So that's why you are a defender of illegal immigration?!? Pathetic.

On his radio show, when it comes to illegal immigration, Alex Jones mainly concentrates on Aztlan, Project San Diego, and Pianka.

IIRC, the Project San Diego is the thing that states that "all white males over 16 years of age are to be executed".

IMHO, anybody who supports Project San Diego and Pinko Pianka are nothing more than homicidal, genocidal, godless, soulless, Satanic, communist, globalist pig anuses.

You are going to find yourself in the minority when the facts are fully exposed on this subject.

What "facts"? What is the "subject", anyway?

You need to rethink what you are seeing and choose sides and get prepared to do battle once again!

You're working yourself into a lather so that you can play militia.

There are no "sides" here. It is clear that 1) a bill will come out of Congress which will include stronger border enforcement and a guest worker program 2) or no bill will come out of Congress.

In either case, there will be no wholesale repatriation of illegals back to Mexico in the near future, no matter how much you want there to be.

And there's not going to be any "battle," unless you and your buddies choose to start one.

Let's think about this for one second, Who is he paying taxes to?

The government or his Boss?

and how is he paying them, using a phony SSN to pay them?

I say his boss is pocketing the taxes and telling the illegal that he has paid them, In short Millions of dollars in taxes are being pocketed by those employers telling Illegal aliens that they are paying taxes.

Alex Jones on his radio show has said it's at least 30 million, about 3 times the number given by the "elite media".

I'd say it's at least 48 million. Four times the number spoon fed by Bush and the liberal media.

I still wonder why they can't make it in their own country?

Because their own countries are hopelessly corrupt and run by narcotics traffickers, thugs, and professional ingrates where you have to bribe the police if you expect them to find out who burgled your house.

Yeah, it's always nice to have a fifth column here.

I'm proud to be an anti-ILLEGAL-ALIEN citizen. I was born and raised Catholic. The Church is foul and corrupt, and it ain't all about immigration.

Catholocism...sorry, but I cannot follow any religion which contradicts the Bible (forbidding priest to marry [1 Timothy 4 : 1-4] and forbidding to eat meat on certain days [1 Timothy 4 : 1-4] come to mind).

Being for illegal aliens ahead of legal aliens and citizens means you do not believe in national sovereignity. It's perfectly clear that the Catholic Church is one of those groups against national sovereignity and for the NWO.

The simple abhorrence of people that look, speak, and act differently is really all that is left.

That's all there was in the Dubai ports hysteria as well. Arabs who ratted out any number of terrorists and service our ships were told we simply couldn't trust them to manage port terminals, even though Saudis are managing port terminals on the East Coast and they don't have near the same commitment to the WOT as the UAE does.

It's xenophobia, plain and simple.

It's xenophobia,

Would've worked for me and about 280 million other Americans on September 10, 2001.

"An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) is a tax processing number issued by the Internal Revenue Service. It is a nine-digit number that always begins with the number 9 and has a 7 or 8 in the fourth digit, example 9XX-7X-XXXX.
IRS issues ITINs to individuals who are required to have a U.S. taxpayer identification number but who do not have, and are not eligible to obtain a Social Security Number (SSN) from the Social Security Administration (SSA).
ITINs are issued regardless of immigration status because both resident and nonresident aliens may have U.S. tax return and payment responsibilities under the Internal Revenue Code."

In short, congress wants to raid the BILLIONS that they are telling you they want to spend.

So that's why you are a defender of illegal immigration?!?

I'm not defending illegal immigration. But I don't have the easy answers some of the rest of you seem to have.

There's not going to be any wholesale deportation of illegals.

One house of Congress recognizes that, and the other will come to that awareness soon enough.

This kid was telling the truth as I saw the video showing Mexicans throwing bottles at them. Kudos for the counter protestors as they did an excellent job. They were the peaceful ones.
