I created a little stir on our college campus. Bill Nye (the science guy) was scheduled to do a guest lecture. I thought, cool, it would coincide with the mid-term, and after the mid-term, the students could have a break and listen to him. I thought it would be like his old television show, with experiments and stuff.

He opened with global warming, and thus began a lame, hour-long politically correct diatribe. My students were text messaging me asking to leave.

Is man-made global warming proved?
 
The answer is a resounding 'no'. There is no convincing scientific evidence for man-made global warming outside of computer models, which do not agree with actual climate data. There is, however, overwhelming evidence to show that temperature increases precede carbon dioxide rises, so carbon dioxide levels cannot be a cause of global warming and any steps taken to reduce emissions are futile.
 
Computer models as used for generating future scenarios have been unable to reproduce actual climate patterns, and are unreliable in the extreme. As the following chart shows, these GCMs, an abbreviation which has been translated as general circulation models or global climate models, predict uniform warming of the lower levels of the atmosphere as a result of man's emission of greenhouse gases, chiefly carbon dioxide, actually a minor greenhouse gas. This man-made warming is predicted to be particularly marked in the last 25 to 30 years, yet actual measurements from satellites and radiosonde balloons show no warming, but slight cooling instead.

* Acid rain (it'll deforest the entire planet and sterilize every body of water!)

Don't people realize that the enviro-nuts love to blow this stuff out of proportion... and the liberal mags will fully cooperate by putting scary covers on every issue?

Lying using statistics is a very old game. By choosing a specific time frame, we are either warming or cooling.

Blaming natural cycles on our little cars is funny, but believing such crap requires more provable facts than the current MSM hysteria.

What the nodding sheeple who have bought into global warming don't understand is that forcing a few Republicans out of their SUVs isn't going to satisfy the environmental lobby. They want a wholesale change in Western lifestyles leading to the abolishment capitalism and the industrial revolution. It is a Utopian movement not unlike the Khmer Rouge, and they are not going to let anyone slide because they have a Kerry-Edwards bumper sticker on their Volvo.
