Mugabe destroyed a wonderful, vibrant nation in a matter of months.Absolutely, Erik. I was there just at the start of his farm seizures, before the country had been dismantled. Not only is Zimbabwe a beautiful place, it was full of bright, entrepreneurial people, both black and white. What Mugabe has done is just sickening; completely senseless brutality.

How long would it take for Zimbabwe to recover, however? All the competent people were driven out, and the opposition doesn't have any experience running the government and industry. It will be a cesspool of incompetence and corruption, taking at least 20 years to reach pre-Mugabe levels.
If the Selous Scouts re-appeared with someone to back them, I think they'd be greeted in Harare as liberators!
