No doubt there are some diamonds in the rough, but all senators, boys and girls, left and right, see themselves as President.

See tag.  It is heinous for either party to nominate a sitting senator to the Presidency. 

This precedent gives you Kerry, Clinton, Kennedy, McPain, Reid, Levin, Obama, the list is not endless, it peaks at 100, fortunately.

This nation needs leaders, not compromisers and wussies.
