To repeat what I said in another thread: The only way
Hitkansut (disengagement, withdrawl, separation, etc...) can work is if Israel teaches the Palestinians that the cost of attacking Israel is so high it is one they will not be willing to pay. This was done successfully with Syria when the IDF marched to withing shelling range of Damascus. It needs to be done with Hamas.
Is Operation Southern Arrow enough? No. So long as Qassam rockets fall it is clearly not enough. It is a good start, though. Prime Minister Olmert needs to do much, much more even if the U.S. and Europe don't like it.
