"Whoever supplied the anthrax must pay a real price."
Things can be arrange surly between such upright and equitable dealers. Damn don't I make you sick, I am making myself sick on that one. ha ha. Can't be totally serious tis, the weekend.
If it would avoid us having to literally take Iran apart and lose aviators, pilots, sailors, soldiers, and Marines, I would think perhaps the trade was fair enough. I think you could say some rotten bastard like Murtha is just as bad as the commies that may have arranged for US citizens to get poisoned.
Where does one draw the line in diplomacy at this high level.
I don't pretend to have a clue. But I would think if perhaps we could get the Iranians by UN approved sanctions to give up their quest for making uranium or plutonium weapons, perhaps much can be overlooked. As we accutely understand the oil issue and the closing of the gulf would be a real catastrophy, for quite a few countries. Sure the US would survive, we got large petroleum reserves etc.. Things would be cleared up proto, sunken freighters or oil tankers would be blown and removed from the sea lane etc..
I guess one can rant on with all kinds of scenarios, but if the US really preferes not to hammer Iran, then obviously some horse trading has to be done in high places.

The problem in that diplomatic deck of cards is the wild Iranian President. He may actually believe that mumbo jumbo about setting up conditions that bring about the return of the 12th Imam. If that is the case, the Russians have a very weak hand. Might as well make a deal with the Sunni Arabs and teach the Russians a lesson.
