This windfarm is supposed to eliminate a coal fired powerplant. I thought the libs were having a hissy fit about Global Warming the other day.

On a clear day, the windmills would be visible from many of the area's resort homes, including the Kennedy family compound in Hyannisport six miles away.Oh the Horror!

The hot air flowing from Martha's vineyard could power the whole northeast.
But another turbine near the senator from New York's home and we'd have power for the rest of the country.
Finally a use for democrats.

Negotiators in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate agreed late on Thursday to give Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney the power to block a plan by Cape Wind Associates LLC to put 130 giant wind turbines near the resort islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. This is a good thing! If Mitt lets them build the "farm", it's a thumb in their eye. If Mitt yeilds and blocks the deal, it removes him from consideration for nomination.
