From what I hear, the Latino citizens of the US, the ones who are allowed to vote, the ones who did the right thing, followed the laws and came to this country in the authorized manner, do not like the willy-nilly illegal immigration any more than you or I do.

Indeed, and this is a perfect example of the ignorance of both parties who think that by cracking down on illegal immigration, they will lose the latino/hispanic (let's just say "Mexican" since that's what we mean) vote. I know plenty of legal Mexican-Americans --some who have been in this country for generations who are feeling the "illegal immigrant" backlash and certainly don't appreciate being lumped together with illegal border crossers. They are affected by the devaluation of their wages the same as everybody else.

There are huge class differences between the legals and the illegals. The average education level is 8th grade for the illegals.
