The upper level pubbies want cheap labor and the upper level dems want cheap votes.
The elites in both parties two decades ago bought in the idea of merging the countries of north america as europe is doing. In europe the thing was to be done legally from the top down. in the USA the thing was to be done illegally from the bottom up with illegals. The quid pro quo would be that europe would include turkey and the North america would include mexico.
Both ideas are really bone headed.
