In europe the thing was to be done legally from the top down. in the USA the thing was to be done illegally from the bottom up with illegals. The quid pro quo would be that europe would include turkey and the North america would include mexico.

Wasn't NAFTA sold as a benefit to the United States. We would sell our goods there and illegal immigration would stop because Mexico would flourish under globalism and free trade.

Americans have been had and nobody seems to care.
