I got in HUGE trouble in school when I called Lousille the term "Loose Whale". I am sorry but she was overweight and besides I was dared. I was yelled at by my teacher so badly that the entire school heard her yelling at me outside the classroom. I just took it and did not mention anything about the other kids daring me. The one thing that I did not count on was that her teacher also weighed a ton and I think that she did through school so she felt bad for the girl. My father wrote her a nasty letter the next day and I gave it to the teacher in a very smug manner. The one thing is yes I should not have said it, but damn I was just a stupid youngster. BTW, it was the talk of school until I finally graduated from 8th grade.
These days I'd probably get handcuffed if I hugged those children, and that's a wretched shame.
I have a nine year old grandson....a treasure...kind, loving, considerate! My daughter and I have told him that he can't point his finger at school like he has a gun (he knows what laser guns are all about).
Now should we tell him he can't hug?
I don't think so. I really don't think his school officials would over-react in the manner this school has. This is really so very sad!
What is more amazing?
Alittle girl getting in trouble for hugging a friend or THe local TV Station dispatching a mobile crew to the scene of the hug?
Yeah, and I can tell you what happens when a kid grows up without hugs - worth about $20,000 in shink bills. Been there, done that.
Public schools are a menace.
"kids that hug"-- a new epidemic sweeping the nation. these evil kids should be forced to register as sex offenders.
then give them some sensitivity training.
that should fix them!
it starts with hugging; then . . .
Oh, I'm skrooed!
Both of my Sons love to hug. They must be victims of a horrible upbringing where evil hugs are commonplace.
Bad Daddy! BAD!
it MUST be stopped before it spreads!!!!!!!
LOL! no idea what you're talking about...
that really is crazy!!
The teacher must have been jealous that she didn't get to fondle the child.
"And in Texas even men friends do it, even in public."

not in TEXAS!!! in PUBLIC???!!!! oh, man, i am DISAPPOINTED!!
i'm throwing out my copies of all those alamo movies.
If that excerpt was actually WITH the teacher corrections, this school has worse problems than its utterly insane anti-hugging policy.
> The Left have thoroughly polluted our culture with the vile thoughts in their own filthy minds.
Is this such a leftist incident? The aide and the teacher and the school admin had little choice in the matter, because the *lawyers* could have sued their asses off. Just for a kid hugging a kid.
i think you got it exactly right!
0 tolerance of children.
