I am all in favor of a proud and unwavering fealty to G-d in the same way expressed by the Declaration of Independence and in many other founding documents and speeches. I a quite uncomfortable with the very specific reference to the Christian saviour as it is a very parochial reference that must, perforce leave me and many Jewish people and people of other religions out of the picture.
I also wish the Constitution Party's platform was based on just a devotion to God, just as our founding fathers did with our Constituion, etc. They'd be a great party to join and could gain a lot of momentum right now if they didn't leave out so many of different faiths.

I understand your concerns regarding their party platform, even though I am a Christian. A party is part of the political system and should seek to include as many like-minded individuals as possible. Where our faiths divide us, our values and patriotism should serve as a bridge to unite us, for the good of our country. I will send an e-mail to the Constitution Party and regarding this divisive point in their platform.
