This sounds more like a paternalistic desire to "do something," "to fix it." But, whatever is done to the rape victim must be done in the best interests of the child, not the family or society.

If her life is not in danger, it's really better to support her and not subject her to the pain and horror of an intentional, elective abortion. As you can imagine, there are similarities to being in those stirrups for the abortion and the rape.

Besides, some day she will realise that the baby is her's, as well as the rapist's child.

She will most likely grieve the innocence she lost, the chance to have her first pregnancy be a joyful one of anticipation and longing for her child. But the grief can only be increased by knowing that the child is dead with her cooperation.

I would keep the options open for rape, and incest, just my opinion
