Those who had been in the country the longest, more than five years, would not be required to return to their home country before gaining legal status.

Suddenly all 11 million (not counting the other 10 or so million) will suddenly claim to have been here for 5 years or more.

Brillint!! I guess we all know that every single one of those 12 million invaders will say they have been here over 5 years. Duh..

Also, it's interesting that the reward of citizenship goes to those that have been breaking the law the longest.

What is the point of further "immigration" legislation considering the laws that are already on the books are not enforced?
