Cuban sammiches? They're good what about Key Lime Pie, Florida Orange Juice, Florida Beef, Plant City Strawberries, Sugar Cane, Blue crabs, Swamp Cabbage, Seafood (Grouper, Snapper, Dolphin, etc), oysters, and Florida wine.

..and I've brought up my own lobsters for the dinner table that I've grabbed from their rocky ledges and wrestled with my own two hands. That's rather Florida unique!

I remember having fried oysters as Sam's Oyster Bar in Fort Walton. The best thing I have ever eaten.

I didn't get a chance to go back for maybe 10 years, and I ordered, what else, fried oysters. This time they were just average.

The best shrimp I have ever had was a place South of Dothan, Alabama. I have forgotten the name.

Hey Stainless, I already posted a Key Lime Pie recipe. Another Florida favorite is:

HEARTS OF PALM SALAD

Individual salads are made on a bed of lettuce, topped with chunks of pineapple, sliced canned peaches, pitted sugared chopped dates, pieces of fresh palm hearts, and diced pecans.

DRESSING:

Place a scoop of dressing (ingredients below) atop each salad. 1 pint vanilla ice cream 1 teaspoon chunky Peanut Butter 1 teaspoon Mayonnaise A bit of pineapple juice for thinning A few drops green food coloring Mix and chill for salad topping
