A couple things don't seem right.
If the injuries are as severe as stated - he is going to get a VA disability pension and medical treatment.
Rangers and not part of Special Forces - although they do report to the Army Special Operation Command . It seems like a minor point, but every Ranger and Green Beret knows this fact.
No - the mom is not going to get any extra money. Can you imagine the gravy train if the military started allowing that (unless she is the primary care giver).
Best advice - if ALL else fails - call your congressman and senator.

(My common ground with terrorists - They want to die for Islam, and we want to kill them.)

I'm not military, the person I'm conduiting (is that even a word??) for is not military, so the distinction between Special Forces and Rangers shouldn't be held against us, pretty please?

Oh, and I don't think the mom wants $$ - I wouldn't be involved if that were the case. I've only been at FR for 5 or 6 years, I don't have that amount of cred to spend!! She just thinks more should be done for the care of her son.
