SANTEE Six people were injured Tuesday night, two of them seriously, when a pickup carrying suspected illegal immigrants crashed at state Route 125 and Mission Gorge Road, the Sheriff's Department said.
According to witnesses, the pickup never slowed down shortly before 11:15 p.m. as it entered the intersection where northbound SR-125 ends at Mission Gorge Road, sheriff's Sgt. Anthony Ray said. The truck drove over the curb and went through a wooden fence before coming to rest on a dirt mound.
Deputies found four people in the back of the truck. Two others ran from the accident but were found a short distance away, Ray said. All were taken to local hospitals.
Deputies are still investigating the cause of the crash, and trying to determine the identity of the driver.
one more 'Illegals on&off the Road' ping
The newspaper knows the question we are asking, and they censor the article to keep us from getting any clues to the answer.
And these are our "future citizens"?

And what question might that be?

You are interested enough to read the story, yet you feel no sense of frustration at the lack of information or at least clues to what happened.
Who are these guys, why did they flee on foot, why don't they know which one is the driver, why so many passengers in the back of the truck, why not give the names of a least the one's caught fleeing the scene of the accident.
This is an unusual incident, although it does fit a pattern of freakish traffic incidents involving foreigners in the country illegally, is this one of those incidents?
Are you being honest, that you don't know what the main question on everybody's mind would be after reading this story.
Yes I am being honest -- the guys are identified in the article as "suspected illegals," so that question is answered.
So either you have a different question, or you didn't read the article properly.

Sorry, you are right, I breezed right by the suspected illegals identification and was looking for names.
Being a subscriber to the San Diego Union, names are usually my only clue,
sometimes I read a story 3 or 4 times trying to answer basic questions of that sort depending on the story, (like is the guy a muslim).
I'm just not used to it being right there at the beginning of the article.
At least the basic thrust of my posts do apply to news stories in general.
Truckloads of illegal aliens crashing = Mexican birth control.
Norm...one question....how many illegal's have you come across named Wilbur???
LOL.. I was trying to do a tie-in between horse trailers aka illegals haulers hence the 'Mr Ed and Wilbur' play ,, :)
