I don't know...

I might want someone who can actually win the election, and was an extremely effective administrator of one of the largest cities on earth, turning it from a craphole to a nice place, myself.

Others may prefer someone who will nobly lose to Hilary Clinton while shilling for their favorite social con hobbyhorses.

Yes, Rudy would excel in many of the most important issues to people on this board. The question is what would happen with those other issues.

I would support Rudy 100% in the general election, and unless someone viable shows up on the scene, or one of the current candidates ups his game by a lot, I would support him in the primaries.

My biggest concern with Rudy would be judicial appointments. I would need to hear something in this area to show that he is going to appoint judges in the manner that Pres. Bush has.

Character doesn't matter, right? We heard that for 8 years from Move On .Org and the DNC. Now "Republicans" are starting to say it.

NO THANKS! We don't need a RINO Billy Boy in the White House. The Democrat version was bad enough.

On the one had...

Rudy Giuliani did echo the values of his constituents in New York by approving of homosexuality and abortion.

On the other hand...

Rudy cleaned up Time Square of the pornography and prostitution that made it so famous, and lowered the murder rate in New York by a couple thousand a year, so that NY is now among the SAFEST places to live (!!!)

I want to know what kind of judges he will nominate. If he is politically pro-choice, but believes in most constitutionalist / originalist positions, it is very possible he will select very pro-life judges. But I need to hear him say he is an originalist / constitutionalist, if not that he is pro-life.

My other gripe with him is that he is strongly for open borders.
