!Viva Christo Rey!

Do you know what that means? Do you have any idea the historical context it came from? No cheating, now: I'm asking what you know, not what you can google. I think your knowledge of the 'relationship' between the Church and the State in Central and South America is nearly nil. Your ignorance on that matter destroys your credibility on this whole topic.

Oooh! Oooh! Pick me, pick me!! It's the response of the Cristeros (Catholic counter-revolutionaries) during Mexico's anti-clerical revolution of the 20's.

I was introduced to it by The Fourth Gift, by Elizabeth Borton de Trevino. The dedication page reads "The fourth gift of the Holy Spirit is fortitude." As a Southern Baptist (at that time), I had no clue what that meant. I believe she's the same Elizabeth Borton that wrote Pollyanna's Castle in Mexico, but can't prove it. The book is WAY out of print, but if you see a copy anywhere, pounce on it.
