You can EXPECT of Bush what he said he'd do. If you expect more than he promised, this is not his fault. He didn't lie nor mislead.

If Bush had run either of his campaigns on a platform that included: record deficit spending, a Ted Kennedy education bill, and a Ted Kennedy amnesty for illegals he would not have been elected.

He was re-elected in 2004 with those among his platforms. His proposal for amnesty, INFACT, set off a furor just as he was beginning his bid for re-election and he refused to back off of it even when cheering crowds went silent everytime he brought it up during that campaign.

It would be nice if you didn't project fiction to attempt to justify a lie.
