For Clinton's political future, it had to be domestic terror. He used it to divide us.

He used the spin to demonize everyone: Christians, whites, gun owners (even though the only gun was on McVeigh and was not used--more in a second on that); conservatives of any stripe, Constitutionalists, and especialy anyone who expressed concern about Waco, Ruby Ridge, an the egregious use of power. If you were actually in a far right wing group, even more so.

It worked. It gave the Dems and Libs their denial jumping off point. The MSM got its talking points, the BATF got its whitewash, and a lot of vocal people faded into the shadows out of fear and sheer dismissal by their peers.

Now, back to Timmy. If you had a loaded 9mm on the seat beside you, and had just blown up a building with loads of people inside, and been pulled over for not having a license plate on your car, would you:

A: Smile at the nice officer, hand him your pistol and surrender?

B: confess to the crime of the century?

or..

C: blow the nice officer away and leave the scene to find a license plate..or even a different vehicle. After all, what is one more casualty when you just blew up the building?

That pegged my little BS meter, too.

The New American did an outstanding job of following the incident and its aftermath. Things printed there often did not see daylight for another 6 months. I am not a JBS member, but they covered Waco, Ruby Ridge, and OK City really well.
