The article above quite clearly says that (1) Schippers flew to OKC to interview Jayna's sources, and then (2) that Rohrbacher can't afford to get Jayna to washington?
Schippers (or you, or JimRob, or ME or ANYONE) involved in this and totally behind it is able to spend money to check out the sources, but then nobody can afford $400 of their own money round trip to send Jayna to Washington to see the committee?
Sounds like to me that Schippers went, saw, and either got less interested, or was unable to persuade anyone else to be interested.
Meanwhile, I tried to get someone here to give me a synopsis of this thing, and all I've gotten is people telling me I haven't "read the links." Maybe Rohrbacher got the same treatment I have?
I'm beginning to think there is a simple theory, story, or anything that isn't book-sized and $19.95.
So you're telling us it has to be simple or you don't believe it? Or can't follow it?
I don't get what you don't get.
Did you see what I said about Iraqi Republican Guards upthread? You do know that some Iraqi's want to destroy America, right? And that they brag about using proxies?
Schippers (or you, or JimRob, or ME or ANYONE) involved in this and totally behind it is able to spend money to check out the sources, but then nobody can afford $400 of their own money round trip to send Jayna to Washington to see the committee?

Nonsense.
PMJI here. I came across this thread late tonight and have read the discussions with interest. sam, your skeptical irascibility has been amusing, but after looking at your home page I suspect you are being somewhat disingenuous, or perhaps calculatedly oblique regarding your understanding of "the big picture". In other words, methinks thous doth protest too much.
No one of your erudition, as indicated by your home page, can be unaware that the issue of who pays Jayna Davis' air fare to testify before Rohrabacher's committee has nothing to do with the money or his budget. It's about acknowledging her credibility and legitimacy as a witness and as an expert investigator.
If the Committee pays to BRING her to Washington, this is a clear signal in Beltwayspeak to the press, etc. that the Committee regards her as credible or at least properly qualified to have her information considered. If she pays her own way, she's just another private citizen who OF COURSE has the right to petition her elected officials, who will OF COURSE give her information all the attention it deserves, in the proper time, yada, yada, yada...
It's all about jockeying for status, credibility and legitimacy. Jayna Davis understands this - that's why she insists on it. So does Rohrabacher. And, I suspect, so do you.

I should have answered this earlier. Of course they can afford a plane ticket. The point is that they have to be invited to the committee to testify. When the committee does that, they pay the expenses to get the testimony. Rohrbacher was telling her that he had no interest in hearing from her eyewitnesses. His comment that the committee had no money for it was preposterous.
