McCain interrupts for a question and then goes on to make a speech. Wyden seems to think his amendment isn't going to get a vote on his amendment, and I think McCain is saying that what he should be doing is getting it in the pack of amendments to be voted on by going to the two leaders. Wyden is kind of filibustering and preventing the Senate from moving forward.
Sen. Cochran, who is the manger of the bill....earlier said that this is the Supplemental Emerg. Bill...and feels that this amendment may NOT fall under that catagory...but, nevertheless....there are a lot of amendments ahead of this...so Wyden cannot be assured of if/she his amendment will be voted on....
Since then, Wyden has been being a BABY...and having a tantrum.
Please just ignore the article I linked...it is not important at all...and especially not important enough to give any of us more "tired head" than we already have...LOL

maybe you should sit down and read them first
LOL----Sen. Stevens steps in...and says HE will help get Wyden's Amendment voted on, by adding a 2nd degree about drilling in ANWR....

I don't know if this is a coordinated dem plan or just Wyden out on his own rogue limb. Kyl is a co-sponsor of this bill so it gives me comfort that the bill really does what Wyden says it does.

Can you imagine anything more irresponsible???? Would the ensuing deaths from a terrorist attack bother his conscience, I wonder. I think it is perfectly possible that a lot of folks are projecting regarding this NSA program...they know they would abuse the heck out of it, so they assume that GW would as well (I do not believe that he would ever do that).
Specter isn't even up for re-election....so he can't use that as an excuse...so, I have to assume he would rather give the terrorists more rights than Americans.
