Resisting the urge to speculate. I see these birds take off over my house from time to time, and they never fail to impress me.
My family and I caught a space-a trip to Germany and back about 20 years ago. I'm a pilot and couldn't get over their size.
When we were lkiving near Ramstein Air Base. these birds flew through our attics every day--or so it seemed ;-)
