If a white person said, "I have heard that the majority of residents in Washington, D.C. are colored people."...that person would be labeled a racist there would be holy hell to pay.

The NAACP is called the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People for the same reason the UNCF is called the United Negro College Fund, because of tradition. I don't think too many people would say that either term is explicitly racist, but they are archaic and using them in other contexts will definitely (and justifiably) cause people to wonder what exactly it is you're trying to say.

The NAACP has sold out all of black America for a seat at the Democratic Party's table. The Democratic Party is supporting Kweise Mfume's Senate campaign in Maryland as a reward for scaring the hell out of blacks into voting Democratic in the last few elections. Meanwhile, Democrats who have won because the NAACP scared blacks into voting for them are denying vouchers to black students in failing public schools. The NAACP ought to be broken up under the RICO statute.

This will be construed as racist as well, even though its a stone cold fact. 'Colored' people are generally colored one color, a shade of brown, while White people can be pink, white, tan, red, blue, green, grey, brown, yellow and black. So in fact, Whites are 'colored,' it would seem, and are 'people of color.' How many of you find that FACT racist, I wonder?
