Take an American Flag to Work Day, Thursday, April 6, 2006.
All patriotic Americans who have been concerned (to put it mildly) about the predominance of flags of foreign nations at the recent pro-illegal alien marches and the desecration of the American flag by supporters of illegal aliens are being asked to participate in a demonstration of patriotism and American sovereignty by taking an American flag with them to work, school or anywhere this Thursday, April 6.
How it works is simple: Proudly carry an American flag with you wherever you are in public. Small parade style flags on sticks would work best for those who commute by bus or subway and those who walk to work. Carry it around with you when you go out for lunch and when you leave work.
Wear red, white and blue patriotic attire. Fly the American flag at your home. Fly an American flag from your car antenna. Tape an American flag in your car window. The goal is to have Old Glory be given the prominence it deserves and to remind everyone--politicians, illegal aliens and their enablers--that the American flag comes first in this country.
Folks have been clamoring for a march to respond to the pro-illegal alien marches. This is a way to do that without having to take time off from work and family responsibilities and still take a stand in public.
John McCain has been touting the pro-illegal alien marches as being effective in influencing polticians in Washington. Now's your chance to exercise your influence.
Please pass this message along to everyone you know and every patriotic blogger you can think of. Contact any patriotic group you belong to. Contact your local media and talk radio shows. We don't have George Soros to bankroll a publicity campaign. We just have us. Stand up for America and Old Glory this Thursday.
I e-mailed your Maxine pic to my whole mailing list. Gotta love Maxine's 'tude!
Great idea ping!
See tagline below.
I'm in
This is a great idea. I passed it along to a number of friends in Oklahoma and Tennessee. I'll be joining in, and I hope a number of my friends and colleagues will too. I hope it becomes a massive (and positive) demonstration of love and loyalty for our flag and our country.
Thanks for the ping, Starwise.
Great idea.
I would think that May 5th would have a lot more impact!!!!!! Most people in Tennessee fly their American flags daily.
One heck of a lightning rod.
"I would think that May 5th would have a lot more impact!"
That'll be Mexican flag burning day around here.
Great idea! I keep a 12" x 18" flag on my desk year round.
is a nice U.S.A flag screensaver. I'ts from microsoft, so it's safe to download.
I already have both the US and Texas flags on my desk at work. I'll fly one at the house.
They [Mexican protestors] are saying that they are not going to spend any money on May 1 in an effort to paralyze the U.S. economy.
We should all hold back on buying any large ticket items until May first. Go shopping, buy that new lawnmower, new car, stock up on groceries, go out to dinner, add a gun to your collection, etc.
Spend like crazy on things you were going to buy anyway and make sure they're NOT made or assembled in Mexico.
Let's make May 1, 2006 a banner retail sales day for America!
Great idea. Except I already have an American flag in my office...doesn't everyone? :-)
Thanks for the ping. I've passed the information on.
Done.

Displaying the flag at your desk is fine, but the goal is to have the flag carried in public that day.
How much do you like your car? Cut tires would be the least of it.
