---I never thought taking a tough stand against illegals would draw so much criticism here.---

There is much suspicion here about the motives and veracity of our Republican leadership.

Since you have a view of the Ocean..AND WE ARE IN
Southern California, how is the fence going to play
here to keep the Mexicans out? I have been thinking
of this whole situation and the ongoing slaughter in
Iraq, it seems to me that we do need to get the
border security modernized..but no fence, we already
tore onee down in Germany..and I say, in the name of
fairness to all, work out something the American way, that
gives the families already here..some form of way out
for them...but there is enough vitriol floating around the
world...open up mind our minds and hearts....Jake

That sucking sound you hear is "W" going down the drain as he is pulled into the waste water of Mexico.

A baby step. What is needed is an "enforcement-only" approach, not an "enforcement-first" approach.

Right

Anyone whose grandparents were not were not born here should be deported ...

99% of the hacks in DC are pandering to foreign born Hispanic voters and the Hispanic pressure groups. I'm a native born American. So were my parents and by the grace of God my grandparents immigrated here legally. George Allen can pander to me any old time he wants if he's serious about border enforcement. There's millions of Americans who believe in our national sovereignty who want to be pandered to.

Who speaks for those AMERICANS who want secure borders and don't want to legalize 12-20 million illegal aliens?

There goes my wife.

Opps, there I go. My grandfather and grandmother on my mother's side came here from Norway.

If they pass this treason, so help me, I will stay home this election day. And don't anybody tell me if I stay home, the RATs will win. That's the very thinking that got us into this mess in the first place. It's the very reason we're on the brink of completely losing our country and ceding our national sovereignty to a Third-World country.

I checked your site..you are either a very wise
individual or you are a Bush hater in a Bush web
site...I empathize with all people who are trying to
do their best to survive in this cruel world, including
Mexicans. Jake

As far as I know, McInsane is the only idiot running for the Republican nomination-LOL-who doesn't back an "enforcement first" strategy.

Good for you..I also like Allen. I also don't
like a border fence...I like a solution to the
border where everyohe has a chance and can see the
light at the end of the tunnel...they are human
beings and mostly good people...Jake

I would support any realistic plan, I am not (and alot of other freepers aren't either) monolithic on "the wall, and only the wall".

we need to have a program with the right incentives. we aren't going to deport 12 million people at the point of a gun, but we have to have incentives for alot of them to "deport themselves". yes, there will have to be some examination of those here already - looking at whether they have children who are US citizens, or some otherwise family structure and length of time they have been here, to justify them staying. but it should be narrow.

what we can't have is blanket amnesty. we can't have promises of more border security, that do not materialize. we can't have a guest worker program, without harsh sanctions against employers who hire outside of that program, and therefore continue to attract illegals. Newt Gingrich has made some realistic proposals.

The sticks needs to come before the carrots as part of any proposal.

They're doing their "best" at our expense.

Maybe you enjoy someone ripping off your flesh in order to graft it onto his own, but I certainly don't.

Allen previously has supported a Guest Worker proposal. This is a positive development.

I saw a cartoon in the paper today that puts it all
in perspective.....small box of strawberries - $57.00.
Picked only by United States citizens. It's like
the way Vermont has cornered the cows and milk lobby
with their rip-offs. Work something out for these
hard working people, hell, they are human bengs...
nut human beans. Jake
