Factories are moved out of the country to take advantage of cheap labor and cheap labor is moved into the country to take the rest of our jobs.

Sounds like a well planned, highly orchastrated plot to destroy the working class in this country and turn us into another third world nation.

The question, as you say, is what are we going to do about it and how?

Those are the questions I started this thread with.

The question of how we stop our jobs from being replaced by cheaper labor is a tough one. Offering your labor to a business is just like anything else being marketed; skills and services must be necessary, reasonably priced and fit positively into the company's profit margin.

This brings up a lot of questions...are American workers, American businesses or both too greedy? Should American workers, businesses or both evaluate their spending habits; ie what they do with their money? Should both workers and businesses put more focus on financial conservativeness instead of material wealth?

I think big changes need to occur in both the business and worker mentality before we come anywhere close to truly protecting American jobs from being replaced by domestic or foreign cheap labor.
