What closet???
The last time I argued over this on FR was about a year ago, and there were a number of comments that claimed turning the illegals into 'guest workers' isn't amnesty. So, have we all dropped the pretense? That's fine by me!

The legislation is just like 1986. It's sad that were still at this position 20 years later.
If it were a real "guest worker" program it'd be done on a world scale with workers selected by lottery.
That said, most of the workers would be from India or China. Since most of the beneficiaries here are Mexicans, then it's simply an amnesty for Mexicans.
