I didn't say they all were.

I know, and the Libertarian label, not necessarily the party, has become a refuge, or front, for some liberals. Bill Maher and Tim Russert claim to be Libertarians, just to name a couple. Does anyone really believe they embrace Libertarian principles? They just hide behind that because most people have no idea what Libertarians believe and those who do are too nice to call them liars. They are too cowardly to admit the are liberal Democrats.

With those two news media stars, it's hard to say. Maher clearly does not like to be told what to do based on absolute moral value judgments. Russert wants to seem independent and unaligned. Other liberals I've known were against any sort of restrictions on migration and international commerce. It came across to me as a sort of globalism in the name of reducing the power of governments to interfere with individual liberties.
