Prepare now.

This is probably a good Civil Defense exercise for everyone. Someone is gonna get nuked in the near future anyway so, burial sites will already be identified.

FWIW, the proportional number of deaths in the U.S. would be about 1.5 million.

This is so stupid, people are being scared for no reason! There are alot more dangerous things we should be worried about than a bird flu that doesn't exist.

If someone was to shout BOO in Britain, the British might all die of fright.

I can handle at least one more worry so, lay it on me.

I don't think so. If we have a free-for-all bird hunting season, as suggested in Post #9, we could really put a dent in the flu. I warmed up my MEC shotshel reloader
ie: auto type and reloaded 2000 rds. I'm ready for the open season! (At least for the first couple of days or until my poor olde shoulder gives out.)

Of what? Bird Flu? I have worse problems than that right now. I'm still here.

"Despite such concerns, the Department of Health has made the decision not to launch a public information campaign on the possible spread of bird flu because of fears that it would cause "panic"."

I've wondered if they'll do the same here? They (US Gov) ought to do a better job of informing the public of the possibilities and have a 'buying panic' that we'll get over before the flu arrives rather than have them both at the same time.

Things that are much more likely to kill you this summer than bird flu.

Car accident, getting shot by a criminal, food poisioning, cancer, fireworks, terrorist attack, getting shot by your wife for cheating, getting shot by your wife because she is cheating and wants a new life etc etc.

I'm just glad that I was raised in a family that has always believed in being prepared.
